Privacy
What this site knows about you.
Short version: nothing is stored on your device, no cookies are set, and I do not know who you are unless you write to me.

Who is responsible
Michael Anderson, Linköping, Sweden, is the data controller for this site. Write to [email protected] with any question about your data, including the requests listed at the bottom of this page.
When you read the site
Visits are measured: which page was opened, which buttons were clicked, whether a form was submitted, the page that referred you, any campaign parameters in the link, your browser's user agent, its time zone and its language.
No cookies are set and nothing is written to your device — no cookies, no local storage, no session storage, no fingerprinting. That is why this site has no cookie banner: there is nothing to ask permission for.
The one exception is the audiobook preview. It is served by a video provider whose player may store playback settings on your device — but it only loads when you press Listen to a preview, never before.
Your IP address is not stored. It is used, together with your user agent and a secret that changes daily, to compute a one-way session number so several page views in one visit can be recognised as one visit. The address itself is discarded and the number cannot be traced back to it. It changes every day and is not linked to you as a person.
This is done on the basis of legitimate interest — knowing which pages are read and which links work — and it is limited to what serves that interest.
When you write to me
The contact form asks for your name, email address, what you want to talk about and, optionally, your phone number. That is sent to me by email and stored in my own CRM so I can reply and remember the conversation.
It is processed to answer a request you made of me. You are never added to a mailing list from this form, and nothing you write here is sold, shared for advertising, or used to build a profile.
If the visit is one the site measured, the message is linked to it, so I can see which page brought you to write. That link is the session number above, not your identity.
Who else processes it
I use a small number of service providers to run the site: an email delivery service for the notification, a hosted database for my CRM, and the hosting and network providers that serve the pages. They process data only on my instructions, under data processing agreements.
Some of them are based in the United States, so your message may be processed outside the EU/EEA. Those transfers are covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Ask me and I will send you the details.
No advertising or social-media trackers run on this site. If that changes — a Meta or Google advertising tag, for example — those do write to your device, and you will be asked for consent before they load.
How long it is kept
Messages and contact details are kept for 24 months after our last contact, then deleted. Visit measurements are kept for 14 months.
Ask me to delete yours sooner and I will, without needing a reason.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, ask for the processing to be restricted, object to it, or ask for the data in a portable form. Where processing rests on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to [email protected] and you will have an answer within 30 days.
If you think I have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, imy.se).
